Latvijas Tūrisma attīstības aģentūra Lead Partner of Photobaltic The Latvian Tourism Development
Agency is a state institution (National Tourist Organisation) under the
supervision of the Ministry of Economics that is responsible for the
implementation of the tourism policy, mainly in the field of tourism
promotion.
Other main functions of the Latvian Tourism Development Agency are as follows: * Determine tourism service adherence to Latvian state standards; * Maintain
the database of tourism companies offering tourism services;
* Prepare project applications for the state investment programme, prepare other projects in the field of tourism and participate in their realisation; * Form and manage the Latvian tourism information database and the Latvian tourism portal; * Co-operate with tourism information centres and undertakings, foreign and international tourism organisations, and state and municipal institutions and independent organizations; * Hold and manage the tourism fund resources.
